Businesses today use information systems at all stages of operation, in order to collect data, process it and then store it. An organization, hence, is propelled by the collection and propagation of this data in the form of statistics that is converted into actionable insights used for performing daily operations. Understanding the strengths of both the technical and management approach, a curiosity to bridge them was sparked within me, prompting me to look for new avenues to explore. Having garnered in-depth exposure to the subject in my Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering (B.Tech), I’m looking forward to furthering my academic career with a Master’s of Science in Business Analytics from your esteemed university.

I’m a very enthusiastic student who is always trying to do something in my personal life as well as in my academics. I completed my higher secondary from CBSE in science major with a CGPA of 8.0. I attained deep knowledge of the dynamics of computer science and grabbed every opportunity to put my theoretical knowledge to practical use. They were four fantastic years of my academic life, during which I faced the most difficult and unforgettable challenges. The rigid curriculum of the program was structured and hard enough to bring out the best in me in college. During my Bachelor’s, the wide-ranging curriculum included topics such as Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Programming Languages, Probability and Statistics, Calculus etc. They have fortified my perceptions not only theoretically but also developed my skill set on multiple aspects of learning such as Analytical skills, Problem-solving skills, Critical thinking, Creativity, Good Programming Skills.

I believe that Internships and projects are stepping stones to enhancing our depth of learning in the required field and facilitating immense experience. On this note, I would like to add that the projects I took part in have fortified my skills in web development and other various objectives throughout my learning journey. Working on a wide range of projects that included developing an application for “WASTE MANAGEMENT” as a part of SMART INDIA HACKATHON in a team of 5 members. During my internship, I developed an e-commerce website, and as a part of my undergraduate first academic project, I lead a team of 3 and developed a project called “DESKTOP ASSISTANT”. With this aid, I have grown my experience and expertise in the field. My persistence to learn more drove me to pursue various courses and fortify my learning even further in subjects like Python Data Structures, Programming for Everybody, Data visualization. Additionally, I have also worked on enhancing my skill sets with workshops.

Other than the Technical Internship, to understand the managerial aspects of an organization at a basic level. I worked as a Project Management Intern for a span of 5 months at Bhumi NGO, wherein I led the planning and coordination team of a pan India Fest i.e Eco-Fest, Wherein we saw the participation of more than Forty-Four Thousand children hailing from different schools and different parts of the country, which helped me finesse my leadership skills. I have also tried to gain experience in managerial processes by looking after Coordinating and inductions for various college events, ensuring smooth execution.

Apart from academic pursuits, I have also partaken in extra-curricular activities, to facilitate holistic development. Furthermore, I was selected as a Student Coordinator in a Two-day National-level Technofest, and also a Student Coordinator for the COEVAL, a cultural event within our college. Adding to this with a strong determination to do something for the society and country, I joined NATIONAL CADET CORPS got doubly certified, in this process training for 5 years, I have attended many regional and national level camps in the service of society and nation. and also took part in many inter-school competitions like singing, painting and KHO-KHO.

Business analytics talk about core computing methods and designing software that would be responsible for the development and potential growth of any business. I want to shift my domain from a technical one to analytics, one and Chief data officer (CDO) positions. I am confident that my strong technical and leadership skills and interests coupled with the skills that your graduate program would offer, will help me to pursue a career in that arena. Combining the learnings of the best in class offerings of IT, acquired during my undergraduate and graduate programs will help me to upgrade to a chef position.

The course I am applying for is rightly inclined towards general business and a people-focused approach, with an emphasis on service through technology. The selection of subjects in my graduation in conjunction with my deep interest in technology has motivated me to use technology to improve people’s lives, and I can do so by receiving a degree in Masters of Science in Business analytics from your esteemed university.
