Case Description
Patients look for easy and convenient access to healthcare, typically self-scheduling to cut through long hold times of phone calls. This is generally true during COVID-19, and many medical appointments have been canceled with short notice. The article “Ease and Access: Why the Patient Scheduling Experience Needs an Upgrade” addresses these concerns. Assume that you are a system analyst in a start-up company in Cleveland. You are asked to investigate and improve the process and experience of patient appointments for the Health & Wellness Services.
Tasks:
Document your analysis results in an academic report using the following three sections:
Background investigation and description including problem statement and proposed solution.
(4 to 5 lines of description)
Develop data flow diagrams, including 1) a context diagram and 2) a 0 DFD. The diagrams much be clear and easy to understand. Provide necessary descriptions to your diagrams(3 to 4 lines of description)
Use InVision or a prototyping app to develop at least 3 screens (pages) such as log-in, search, appointment, etc. Explain your design ideas and develop user-friendly pages to reduce the number of clicks and human inputs. Take screenshots of your design and provide a source/demo link to InVision or a similar app. (Put screenshot of prototyping in word file)
