Step 1 – The U.S. history movie/documentary list will be given to you on the date stated in the course outline and will be available on eLearn in the Discussion forum tab under the title U.S. Historical Review. Select a U.S. history movie/documentary from the list and write your choice in the forum. If the movie/documentary has been chosen by someone else, please pick another movie/documentary. Watch the whole movie/documentary on your own.

Step 2 – Write a review based on your opinion and how you demonstrate an understanding of the historical, social and cultural development of the people as well as institutions of the United States of America. Relate the film story to its historical context and apply what you have learned in class. Do not write what the movie/documentary is about. I have already seen it. Guideline

3. Formatting (font size, page numbering, typed, cover page, number of words, heading, etc.)
Your review must be in Microsoft Word document but in PDF format, font size 12, Times New Roman and double spacing. Please download the cover page from eLearn in the Coursework tab in the Historical Review folder. Fill in your information in the cover page. Submit your 950-1000 words (3-4 pages) review in PDF format in eLearn in the Coursework tab in the U.S. Historical Review Turnitin folder. Email the filled cover page to me at jaimey@sunway.edu.my. Failure to adhere will reduce your marks.

4. Due Date and criteria (Specific date and week)
Submit your 950-1000 words (3-4 pages) review in eLearn in the Coursework tab in the U.S. Historical Review Turnitin folder by 4pm, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, on week 13 as stated in the course outline. You are only allowed maximum of 20% of similarities from the Turnitin. If there is more than 20%, you need to redo and submit it before the due date. You are only allowed three opportunities to resubmit your paper on Turnitin. I suggest you submit your assignment early to check for plagiarism.
