How to Write Your Research Paper:
The best way to write this paper is to begin with a thesis statement and paragraph. Tell the reader immediately and clearly whether or not democracy is in danger in today’s world.
Next, it is logical to define democracy. The textbook will be a great resource for this task. Once you have adequately defined democracy, you can move on to your main argument about whether or not democracy is at risk or in danger today.
If your answer is yes (democracy is in danger), show the reader exactly why democracy is in danger; which trends, processes, or forces are threatening it? If your answer is no (democracy is secure), show the reader exactly why democracy is still healthy or resilient today.

It must be written in Times New Roman, 12 Point Font
It must be Double-Spaced.
Your paper must be between 3-5 Pages in length, excluding title page.
A title page with your name, student number, course # and date is required.
You are required to use the textbook as your main source of information.
You are also required to cite the textbook. In-text citations are mandatory.
When using a quote or point from the textbook, cite using the main author’s last name and the page number(s) consulted. Your citation should look like this (Mintz et al.).
Points taken directly from the textbook should either be paraphrased (put into your own words) or placed in quotations.
You may use some outside sources (beyond the course text) if you choose to do so. This is recommended but not required. If you do this, be sure to include a bibliography that lists your outside sources. Also, make sure your outside sources are either scholarly (ie. journal articles, books), or reliable (if they are News sites).
If you are only using the textbook, no bibliography is needed.
