You have done work with this business before, and they have always paid you on time for previous contracts. However, this time, only the deposit for the work, $3,000, has been paid. You called the business and left a couple of voice messages to remind them of the overdue payment; then, you emailed them to inquire about the situation and express concern over the non-payment. They have not responded to either one of your attempts.
Write a one-page, demand letter to the company, requesting payment of the remaining $6,000. There is some urgency to your request for payment as you have staff and bills to pay. Use a direct, but respectful, tone and keep your register formal.
