Write a critical review of an argument presented in one of the specified texts. Your essay should:

• Draw on readings from this unit to discuss what critical thinking is, how it done, and why it is important.

• Adopt a critical position in relation to an argument presented by identifying the problem being addressed, evaluating the evidence presented in support of the argument and the conclusions drawn on the basis of this evidence and other research.

• Draw on academic research to consider the argument being presented, and to take the argument in further/other directions.

• Include the provided logic book for your selected argument in the appendix, and make reference to it.

ULO 1 Analyse academic arguments and evaluate the use of evidence to support those arguments by adopting a critical position in relation to an academic argument, and the evidence used to support that argument.
